'Harold Park' is located 11 kilometres by road from Coorow, in Western Australia's North Midlands region. The property is approximately 250 kilometres by road from the State's capital, Perth. Annual rainfall is approximately 380 mm. The property comprises of two adjoining titles, being 'Harold Park' (1715.92 hectares) on the Coorow-Greenhead Road, and 'Carranya' (1044.77 hectares), accessed from the Midlands Road by Carranya Road. Total landholding is 2,706.69 hectares (approximately 6,821 acres) Approximately 1,800 hectares are considered arable, ('Harold Park' 1,000 hectares and 'Carranya' 800 hectares). The property comprises a variety of soil types ranging from good quality cropping soils to medium and lighter yellow sands. Original vegetation is predominantly Gimlet, Tammar, Pear Tree, Banksia and Mallee. Water is of excellent quality and quantity, supplied by four bores (three solar pumps and one electric), at approximately 18 to 25 metres deep. Additionally, there is a large permanent soak at the eastern end of the property, which is frequently visited by Carnaby cockatoos. Perennial grasses and Serradella pastures have been established. Fencing is very sound and practically laid out. Working infrastructure includes: 18m x 15m Machinery Shed 18m x 25m Machinery/3 stand shearing shed and circular sheep yards with bugle race and 3-way draft attached. 6m x 9m concrete floor workshop. 100t fertilizer shed. 42,000l liquid fertiliser tank Four 70t grain silos Two older grain silos The homestead at 'Harold Park' is a spacious three bedroom, two bathroom brick and stone home with office and walk in pantry. There is a large living area with reverse cycle air conditioning as well as a games room. The main bedroom is also airconditioned and has an ensuite. There are established lawns with patio and verandah on the north and east sides. Normal farm operations are a 800 hectare cropping programme, which includes cereal, lupin and canola enterprises. Additionally, a self replacing 1,000 head Dohne flock is run on the property.
